yea hopefully it will all just kinda fall into place the only thing he would have to do is get the PCM reflashed because his doesnt have 4WD programing in the PCM and the vin wont match if he takes one out of a donor truck and his tuner wont transfer over unless he gets it remarried
i thought i could just get a pcm from a 4.6 4wd, plug it into my truck, and good and gold. i guess i would have to get that new pcm flashed for my vin for it to work? so the best route would be to get my pcm reflashed for the 4wd, cuz if either route is gonna cause me to get a flash, might as well save the cash on the new pcm and just get the old one flashed? i'm not worried about my tuner. I have the SCT SF3. it can handle up to 5 different vehicles at once. i would just have to reflash my truck back to stock. do all the changes, then just plug in the programmer again and start all over. and if we could use the lift/tools at the shop all day for sure for sure, i'll happily drive up all the parts w/ the truck the evening before and we can get started right away.
