Well Ive been drivin my ranger for mpgs here lately and I cant stand havin a quiet exhaust. If I just replaced the muffler, what would give it the deepest tone? It doesnt have to be loud but I dont mind if it is. Its got a 3.0l v6... I know it cant get that deep soundin but what will be the deepest? Im lookin for fairly cheap, like $50 is the most Id spend on the muffler.
For a ranger probably a magnaflow of sometype. I straight piped mine and it sounded pretty good as long as you run some pipe to give it an "echo" it doesnt sound like garbage. It sounds like crap if you just dump the muffler. Its hard to get a deep tone out of a v6
Ok yeah I think Im gonna get a si/do muffler n put 2 3" tips but paint em black n run em straight out the back. Or I might just run straights if they dont sound that bad but either way Im runnin the pipes out the back with the black tips I think.

40 Series FlowMaster is gonna have a nice deep sound at idle and lower rpms, and it's cheap too. Just don't expect it to sound deep in higher rpms, haven't seen a V6 yet that don't get high pitched in higher rpms.
Thats all Im expecting is deep in the lower rpms. I only get up to like 3500 rpms though so hopefully it wont get too high pitched. Dependin on a couple of other things I might go get it done friday, if not then it wont be too much longer.
