Well would it be bad if I had the 9000 up front and 5000 in back. I looked into these when I first looked at shocjs Sent from my iSmarty 4
not at all. the main difference would be you wouldnt be able to select the shock. the internals of the two are almost identical so you shouldn't notice any performance difference w/ regards to the front compared to back. edit: I should mention that if you buy all 4 rs9000xl all around (2 QuickLift and 2 for the Rear) most shops will throw in the MyRide Wireless controller that allows you to change the setting of all the shocks w/out having to get under and do it manually. 2 QuickLIfts will run you almost $425. You can get a complete kit for just over $500 from ebay, and that seller will throw in the MyRide wireless kit for FREE!
You might want to check your studs on the upper strut mount. If those disks have compressed, I just about bet you that they need to be tightened.
i think you can use the rears universally, but i dont think they make a Quicklift for the 97-03 range. Just checked on ebay...
^^bullshat they don't. I know people that had their trucks sit a 1/2" lower after having a brush guard installed. Over a period of time an extra 120lbs wears on struts/shocks/springs. Not to mention Preston has that heavy to the pocket light on the brush guard!
