So as some of you know the wife and I have been looking for a commuter to help save on some gas, keep the miles down on our expensive rigs and just have something more economical than my truck. We were lookin at bmws and junk but we found a nice jetta and jumped on it. It's a 2002 jetta gli vr6 6 spd manual. 1 or 2 little dings but over all a great little car. It has 137k on it. It's a zippy little car. I've got more pics of some work I've been doin to it, just some cleaning and restoring the light lenses, but I got a molar pulled today and it's starting to hurt so I popped a Vicodin about Half an hour ago and its starting to set it. I don't feel like getting my camera hooked up right now :jester:

Here's a pic after I washed and carnuba waxed it. I also restored the headlights and have some before and after pics of that, still workin on gettin the inside detailed.

That is sick man! My pics are uploading right now. Ill list my plans for it when I post the pics. We gotta recover from buyin it first. we paid cash so it took a bite out of our savings, but it should save of quite a bit per month in fuel. not as much as an escort, but this is more sporty and luxurious for a driver.

VR6, nice. VW's are great driving cars. I really want me an older GTI, I just can't find any in decent shape. Nice Jetta dude, enjoy!

    My plans:
    brakes
    window tint!
    lowering springs
re paint bumpers (theve got some rock chips)
    PTM grey plastics.

This will be over time. This is a commuter not a play toy ha ha so ill have to have some disposable cash to go these mods.

    Looks good!

On those lowering springs, I've used Eibachs, Neuspeed, H&R and Intrax, all on VW's and out of all of them, Neuspeed was my favorite. The Eibachs were good, but seemed too soft after about 25K miles. The H&R's were nice, but too firm, and Intrax was just shat from the get go.
