So, I have had a Saleen grille for a few months and when I went to install it I broke most of the studs along the top. I was wondering if there was any tricks to get them out. They just spin with the nut. I hate that I just I have this beautiful (not to mention pricey) grille sitting around the garage lol. Thanks for any help!
Can you give me pix of the studs? I have a saleen grill..... Not sure where you are talking about Sent from my iPad Mini
No, the actual studs. I'm almost positive they go through the grille, and the hood, and they are attached to the surround I'm assuming. I can't think of a much better way to describe it. I wish I had pictures.
the grille surround bolts to the hood by like 4 bolts. the grille has clips which hold it to the surround
Yes, there is four bolts, two in each L bracket, then you have the clips that hold the grille to the surround... Then at the top of the surround, the forward most part of the hood the hood bends down and has six studs (attached to the surround) with nuts that also hold the grille on. If you get the chance pop your hood to see what I'm talking about. I wish that I was somewhere near my truck to take pictures. Being thousands of miles away sucks.
Haha. That's why I love that I have a garage that fits my truck. I know that they hold the grille on once you take the bolts out of the L brackets it's still being held on at the top.
