Ive seen quite a bit of people use that deck connector on dezert rangers for their lights up top. Mine is ran about 1/3 down the door till theres a notch where I can pass the wires to the inside of the cab. it lifts the seal up a smidge but only leaks if its a really bad storm. With the rack being so low you shouldnt have any wind noise. When I had my light bar and hellas up higher it was really loud and felt like Ihad a sail on my roof, but now that my light bar is 1/2 an inch above my roof I hear nothing but the cross pieces rattling...I need to go bolt them down.
Alright so I ended up wiring it for a kick switch like in the old cars, then soldered up an led to let me know when they were on in case I bumped it during the day. Works awesome and pretty slick if I say so myself
Thanks fellas, yea noise isn't too bad driving around, more than before but I have to turn off the radio an ac to hear it
Wow that's an awesome set up you got there. I wish I had those kind of ideas/skills. Nice finished product.
this guy kick switch is cool. Id put one in if I had all my lights on and had someone coming at me I could hit it and kill all the lights without having to flip all of my switches.
