Also just a heads up I was curious if anyone would even notice but the whole rack is made of 1" conduit, extremely strong by the design and incredibly light weight and incredibly cheap, so you'd be surprised what you could do with that stuff. I can sit on the rack and there is absolutely no bowing or flexing and it's galvanized so I had to grind where I welded but it'll help corrosion resistance down the road. So my grand total for that was ~$15 for the conduit, $60 for te light, $15 Bedliner, $10 relays, $10 deck connector, and I had the rest. So I was curious if anyone would pick up on it, I know Dylan knew but so you can build a heck of a setup for cheap and I think it looks way awesome. If I was planning on supporting a ton of weight or like a tent /sleeping up there I would obviously use something stronger but just thought I'd share with yall
If we designed something you could load it from the front and just slide it up there real easy vs crawling up the bed and pulling it up and then on.
ya know, I was gonna ask you about that. I thought about it being condoit but since that stuff is galvanized from the factory you would have to grind it till its shiney so you dont die from inhaling it. cool though! what size?
I did an led for my girlfriends LED bar too Didnt think about the foot switch, her clutch would probably be in the way though I got a on-off-on switch so up is on with the high beams and down is just on that way you dont have to fumble to find a switch
Haha nope, I thought about buying steel or aluminum and tig'n it but I really didn't wanna spend that much time on it.
Haha it won't kill you just can make you sick but you have to like directly Inhale lots of it, I got air filtration system in the shop. No issues
