I had this idea when I got my truck and just saw something similar to my idea. If I removed my tow loops and replace them with 4" receiver sleeves, I could then use them for several things. I could youse the farm tow hooks from TSC, put a ball off to one side or the other (not sure I would need it but I could. Lol) I got the idea after going to a tractor pull. I saw a dodge that had something similar with a metal rack going from one to another so he could add plates to the front to keep the front down, then remove it for daily driving. Do y'all think it would look bad? Could always put receiver hitch covers in it with whatever logo you wanted. Just looking for some input. Thanks J.Walton!
maybe you could pull that off...... Maybe make some custom hella light inserts with quick disconnect :
Why dont you leave your factory tow hooks and just add a hidden 2" receiver in the front? http://www.drophitch.com/2007-Ford-F-150--Curt-Front-Trailer-Hitch--31352_p_78544.html
I just thought once lifted and black rims with 35s some big hooks hanging off the front! Just a thought.
hey, its however you think you're truck is gonna be boss to you. I just didnt know if you knew of the front hidden receiver hitch since you mentioned placin RH's. do an install how-to either route you go for sure.
Ya, I have seen the front receiver hitch before, my uncle has one on his 1500 chevy. I think you half to cut a hole in the plastic valance and I dont want do that. If I get around to doing it I will take pix and do a wright up!
you prolly have to cut out for the chebby, but I think the one for ford was designed to fit a 2" receiver exactly through our air dam.
