I would just clean it and paint it. It's going to be filthy and chipping in no time again anyway unless it is a garage queen. Why go to all of the trouble of sanding and priming? I just spray mine with foaming tire cleaner/dressing and it looks brand new until I drive it in the rain. (that's a tip for you guys inside the fenderwells, too. makes a dirty mess look factory new)
Prep work is what keeps it from chipping..id rather not have good looking paint with chips.. then it looks worse than not painted Sent from my DROID2 using Tapatalk
i cleaned and sanded and primed mine, paint held up threw winter great there some small spots showing but the majority is good sorry its dirty in the pictures
I never used primer or sanded it on my s10 and it went in the mud hole every day I used rustoleum high heat It held up well never had to touch it up. But use primer and sand it if you want
