for painting plastic pieces, how should i go about it, thinking scuff, paint, clear, right? or should i use an adhesion promoter?
the only thing i'm doing is the long black trim pieces in the dash, and you still need to prep bedliner or it will flake off, but i know painting plastics doesn't always work well either
Krylon Fusion. No prepping of any kind for painting on plastics. You can even use this as a primer, then paint whatever you would like over it, since the Krylon will bond w/ the plastic, then the new color to the Krylon. I used this stuff w/ my interior, going from grey, to black, and its held up in the texas heat for 2 yrs now, no flaking or fading of any kind. I even used some flat black paint over the top of it on the top of the dash cuz it gave a wicked glare from the sun.
thanks, i was thinking about spraying it and while it was still wet trying to do a marble effect with plastic wrap, then clearing it for smooth gloss finish
