Well this looked pretty easy to do so I went to lowes and spent 7-8 bucks on the pipe and clamp. Got home and took the whole air intake off. Then fought like a somb1tch to get the end off of it Cut the pipe 10" and grinded down to size, test fitted, prepd n painted, and installed. Total time nearly 2hrs. I havent drove the truck since I got it in but surely it will work better since more air can get in. So heres some pics for the bored. Side note, I may take it back out later and trim a half inch off the end stickin through the fender and about a inch off the other end.
Looks good man, and good pictures. I was talkin to a buddy of mine about doing our trucks this weekend while we're workin on em. He has a powerwagon so no clue if this mod even works for his truck but we'll find out
Nice write up....I've never done this. I always thought it was a gimmic. Let us know what the end result was/is
I think troyer once did a dyno and proved that gotts was better than cai except for air force 1 cai Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
not sure what your mean but I used 3" pvc. it eventually goes down to the stupid rectangle that snaps to the filter box on the motor. everything is 3" and smaller the closer you get to motor.....best i remember. Im just lookin at it in my head lol.
