well here's what i found out: called my local Kia place and he asked a Tech how to do it, and the tech said to bring it in and they'll install it for free cuz it is really hard. its got a metal C-clip in the base that has to adhere/clip to the metal base that is attached to the windshield. I tried for HOURS to get this on and nothing so I'll be goin there tomorrow to get it installed. Thanks for the help and awesome link to Chilton's.
