So I am gonna do this by the end of the year. lets make a parts list. I'll start

    Transmission
    Transfer case
    Rear Driveshaft
    Front Drive shaft
Front axle Housing, including axles, cv's
    Matching R&P
    Knuckles
    Rotors
    4.6L 4x4 ECU
    4hi/lo switch

Truck is pre-wired for the 4wd switch, just need the switch as mentioned. what have I left out? Thanks!

how so? if i find a wrecked truck but good powertrain, its like $2k tops, which is cheaper then a new truck note. hell, price all that stuff i listed from ebay, its like $2.5k. The ECU is going to be more expensive then the transfer/transmission. I'll also have my transmission to sell for some cash back.

Personally I don't have the time or patience to do something like that. I would simply sell yours or trade it for a 5.4 4x4 screw and be done with it.

Look guys, I appreciate the inputs, but this thread isn't WHETHER I SHOULD OR NOT but what is needed to complete this conversion. Its my dime, not yours, so nuff said on that. Thanks for the opinions, but what is needed only? Thanks!
