No blabbin, gettin right to it. 32 cluster pin I tapped the black to the 4 pin, the brown/red stripe to the 1 pin. Now the 2 & 3 are supposed to be tapped to the 1 & 10 on the 18 cluster pin, but after much investigation I had no wires out of my 1 & 10. So now here is where this gets tricky. I had to remove the clip from the 18 pigtail to expose the rear of the pigtail. There is a tiny clip that has to be depressed as you then slide it off. Think of it not sliding onto the top, but more so from the side, as the wires are bent at a 90^. Now that this is done, expose 1-2 cm of wire from each the 2nd and 3rd wire off the message center pigtail. Simply slide the 2nd wire into the 1 slot until the wires come out the other side. Leave a "stubbles" worth exposed. Repeat this for the 3rd wire into the 10th slot. Now slide the clip back over the pigtail. Dont worry about that tiny bit of wire sticking out, as when the clip slides pass, and then you clip it into the cluster, you make a solid connection point.

So I was playing around w/ the message center button, and realized I could change settings! I could change from emperial to metric read out (but didnt), i changed my autolamps from 30secs to 10 secs, turned the AutoLOCK OFF (so yea, the truck doesnt lock when you just close the door like it did before). This is so awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Ford makes both a 6 pin and a 4 pin message center. I had both a 6-pin & a 4-pin set. I think the 4 pins were offered in 07-08 Lariats, cuz thats what I told the guy I had, 07 L, and he gave me an 8 pin pigtail in which I just used the bottom 4 wires, and folded up the other 4. This part number is 3u2z-14s411-LCA. If you use the 6 pin, you would not use the last 2 pins and could break them off (I would verify the 4 you use are the 4 needed prior to breaking the others).

Not responsible for any damage you do to your truck after reading this post

Sorry for the blab, now onto the pics, which go as follows:

    1
2-3 -Splice into pins; 18pin clip release location
4-10 -Message Info Snap shots as I got it working, then did a sys check and what it read out (man I had to snap fast).
11-12 - The 6 pin and the 4 pin Message Button Center

That's freaking sweet. Couple questions, how much is the button and did you ever get a place to reset your odometer?

how much are what pics? And you cant get your Odo reset. The mileage stays on there even when it gets flashed. I have close to 110k on the truck, but the Odo is barely bout to roll 40k lol.

I still have the 6 pin ( or is it the 4 pin) if anyone is lookin to do this to theirs I'd be happy to mail out this button set to ya.

oops, pics=pins. Just wondering what the total cost was. My tires are throwing my speedo off, but I'm keeping track of it, so i'm caring less and less what my odometer is showing anyways lol

Total cost to do this would be roughly $50, and thats if you had to buy the message center button. You'll need the harness from Ford, but its only $20 or so. $10-15 in wires, splices, & thats it. As for your tires, get a tuner (thought you had one) and adjust your tire setting in there. If you need help let me know. just had to figure mine out last week (18% difference).
