Run your vehicle and home air conditioning every now and then even in the winter. This circulates the freon and PAG oil in the system, preventing o-rings from drying out which reduces leaks that can lead to problems in the summer when you need it to work. Avoid several hundred dollar repairs by cycling the A/C even in winter.

In the Southeast we get enough warm days in the Fall and Winter months that the A/C gets used. Great tip though.:waytogo:

This is the 1st Winter in a couple of years where it's actually been cold. The past 5 years or so have had really mild Winters to be honest.

    The Sunny South:

:hmm:....a good reminder; however, I've long made a habit of cycling the AC at least once a week whether it needs it or not.
The wife and I are thinking about moving to sandy, I mean sunny, Florida where it's warm in the winter-time.:birgits_tiredcoffee
