First of all I apologize if this has been covered. I tried doing a search and got nothing.

I have a 2006 Flareside FX4 with 6.5 bed. I am trying to get rid of the old plastic bed rail caps, and get something steel or aluminum so that I can get it
line-xed to match the rest of the bed. The problem I am running into is that it doesn't seem like anyone carries anything for flaresides. I have looked at Putco and a couple of others.

If anyone know's of anyone that carries something like this, it would be really helpful.

I appreciate the invite and info you gave, I tried a couple of places, didnt even think of JC although it should have been the first on the list.

I considerred that, the main reason I am wanting to get caps is because the tailgate piece has busted off twice now. Not real keen on paying $60 for another one given it's track record.

    JCWhitney

Just got off the phone with JCWhitney, and they have nothing for it.

:hmm:I am thinking of maybe contacting a local shop, but I am afraid of the price that they hit me with. I understand someone has to do the research, just wish it was someone else on the recieving end of the bill.:)

I have looked into diamond plated bed caps as well since I purchased my 06 in 06. Have never found a site/company that had any bedrail products for our trucks. I had contemplated making my own set, but no time w/ all my other projects ongoing.

Just take off your stock bedcaps, clean them, and spray them with Krylon Fusion paint. Works like a charm. Also the windshield wiper cowls likes a fresh coat of paint too.

Yea, this is a great alternative if you are wanting to swap to metal since your plastics faded. I did this to these parts, plus my rear bumper step... Friends were asking if I just got it replaced w/ a new one.
