not one hole on the outside of the fenders Oh Yeah! you do need to drill the flare to put the rivets into the flares but you don't drill or screw the rivet int o the truck fender at all!
I am painting the bumper black! I wanted to pull the bumper and send it out for powder coating ( black) in the morning. I think the bull bar and grill surround will be fine. if Not I can do somthing next. I think once I paint (powder coat) the bunper black the rest will look ok. Just doing the HD lights toned down the chrome look in the front. I am thinking that the Black bumper will be the perfect touch. The Bull Bar, surround and side steps being chrome will be just the right amount and all will blend together for it's own look. If not I will need to get more black done. I will see.
Aren't there holes in the outside of the fender for the factory flares? I thought that there were some clips that held the flare snug to the fender out there.
my bushwackers mounted to under the fender. not the side. the holes you are showing will get covered by the bushwackers but I didn't need to use them. in fact if it wasn't for the holes on the underside of the fender. It almost seemed that I could have left my stock flares on. and that they would be coverd. but no! I had to remove mine.
my front B-wackers came with clips that mounted to the flare and to the inner fender where the inner fender well connect together.
Here this is the installation sheet. no holes or mounting to the ouside of your fender! http://images.autoanything.com/images/info/bushwacker/install/20927.pdf
I think Predatory is referring to having to drill in his fender if he put the FACTORY FORD flares (more like accents) on his rig, and not these bushwackers.
