I'm starting to build these to order now. You have your choice of how ever many number of rod holders, up to 11, to choose from. They simply mount using 2 large bolts, one on each side, through the predrilled holes in the bed, giving a low-profile, factory look. After a lot of experimenting, I've found great success with a rubberized spray on undercoating. It looks just like Line-X Extra when applied and is extremely durable. I build them in my shop, which is not a weekend warrior shop per say, but where I build custom furniture part-time. I have everything from planers and tablesaws to a lathe and router table. I only use top notch stainless steel marine grade hardware and lag bolts in the construction. Each rod holder is bolted with 3 bolts. To describe the sturdiness, I can literally jump on mine in the bed and I'm 170lbs. I carry up to 11 130 class rods and reels each weighing in at around 20lbs. Price is $350+shipping. Shipping from Mass to Raleigh, NC, for instance, is only $36. I'm building one starting in a few days to get started. If anyone is interested in it, PM me.

Mods, if you want to move this go ahead, I figured since it's for the 2004+ trucks I'd just put it here.

Thanks buddy. I hope so. The one I'm starting is getting made whether I have someone lined up or not. Here's an older pic with some rods in it. It can hold 11 of those bent butt rods which are heavy as hell.

I'd like a pic of how you mount it to the bed. It looks real good, nice and clean. I love working w/ wood, and you got a nice lil shop there. :waytogo:

Thanks. Yeah, I'm very partial to wood. Love building furniture.
