Well i've only done this twice, first time by mistake. I left store and thought i was in "D" but was in "2" so i bumped it to "D" and the truck launched as if the edge wasnt workin and then bam it woke up when I put it in "D". Well i decided to test it again yesterday and took off in "2" and didnt really get on it but was takin off somewhat quickly and then bumped it to "D" before any shift occured and same thing.... sluggish before I moved it and then twice the power all a sudden when i put it in "D".

Anyone ever done this or is the old news lol.

Sounds normal seeings how starting from a stop in second gear your going to feel sluggish until your rpms match the speed your going appropriate for 2nd gear..putting it in drive is basically going to rev your rpms if your at a low speed or drop your rpms if your at a high speed..

Does it not still start out in 1st though? I've always thought thats how they worked. If you put it in 2 it will start with 1 and shift to 2 but never shift out til moved to 3/od. But yeah if it actually starts out in 2nd i can see it being slow.

    This has worked for me.

When me and the woman go to the hwy strip just shoot the shiat with friends.I take one lap a night.

If i get the urge to race another truck(usually i do). Will pull up along side of him at a red light.Rev my engine abit to see if he wants to go,if he does.I will put her in first, get the rpms up and on green launch her. Then cycle thru 2nd and on into drive and get a jolt when I'm back in drive.I have found this works for me.

Yeah that works because you started in first.. he is saying he starts in second and then gets more power when he goes into Drive
