Okay I'm replacing my emblems with 09-13 emblems and I can't get this black outline to come off.
You can't see it very well in the picture but it's driving me crazy to see this black square around where it was. It's bad enough that the paint is a different color cause its faded.
I've tried goo gone, WD-40(because its a solvent) and atleast 5 gallons of elbow grease.
    You guys got any ideas?
I'd love to be able to finish putting these emblems on tonight so I don't have to cover up the holes due to rain.
    Thanks guys!

Wet a rag with some gasoline and rub it hard, but wipe it away quick. The gas is good for getting that kind of stuff off, but if it stays on too long it will hurt the paint

I've always used acetone for things like that. Works quick, and evaporates quickly enough to not do damage.
