Right now I have shorty headers (not sure what brand, they were on the truck when I bought it) and single straight pipe exhaust, but i'm gonna add duals with glasspacks in spring. I also have a CAI sitting here that i'm putting on this weekend. It's just a cheap one off ebay, not a name brand one. I dont plan on doing any other mods to my truck after that, do I need custom tunes, or will the canned tunes be fine? Ive been looking at the Evolution CS. I like how you can get a dashpod for it and it can monitor multiple things. Im just confused if I should get custom tunes or if the canned tunes will be fine for my truck. I have a 2001 f150 5.4

Get the custom tunes. They'll work way better with your headers and intake

custom tunes would be the best choice, canned ones are based off of stock set up trucks, a custom tune would account for your mods. however, i have the gotts mod and an aftermarket muffler and have not experienced any issues.

Well I decided to just go for it and buy one, I ended up getting the SCT Livewire. Hopefully I'll like it. If not I'll just sell it. I've read some good reviews about it though so we'll see. I'm going to try the canned tunes first and see how those do

Nice:waytogo:.Can't wait for the report back on it and how you like it.I think you should have went with custom tunes as to really bring your truck out and all its glory. But hey the stock tunes will also work.

very nice dood. you will like it a lot and for the tunes go the ones that it comes this are for stock settings. and if you had more stuff done to you truck it would do more harm the good. but i wouldnt get custom one until you get you duals on. :peace:
