I can't get the chrome off this. I used acetone on the blue of the emblem and that came off easy. I then tried painting it red with spray paint and it didn't really stick, so I sprayed it again and the paint just cracked up.
Idk what to use to remove this chrome so the paint will stick... Any ideas?

Get some 300 grit. Rough it up a lil (just some scuffing). Spray it w/ some self etching primer. Let that set for 2-3 hrs. Then apply the color paint you want it to be.

it probably cracked because of the acetone. clean it with lacquer thinner, let it dry, prime then pain.

^ ditto. Sand it down, clean it, let it dry, prime it, then paint it :peace:

Or just paint it with some bedliner :jester:

Alright I went to ace and bought some 320 grit sandpaper, and some primer, I'm gonna sand it down and try it again and see what happens. Thanks y'all.
