    I wouldnt use speaker wire to make electric runs. i think it has something to do w/ the coating difference between speaker wire and automotive wire that would make you want to use automotive. You can get some wire from AZ cheap. remember, its not "speaker AND automotive wire" its speaker wire. :birgits_tiredcoffee

    So post a link for a brother!! Is there any automotive wire that is like speaker wire and has 2 wires together?

    i cant recall any automotive wire that comes bound like that, but its easy to do. you secure one set of ends of the wires to the wall w/ a screw or something, then pinch the other set of ends in your drill and "drill". the wire naturally becomes twisted together. i have always bought seperate colors and ran my own dual lines (power/ground). here is a quick ebay link. 12g is cheapest, and will still do the job for ya.

    well wtf lol they always work.

    just type in JT&T wire. it will bring up tons of wire just specify 10 or 12. they have a 100ft spool or like 8 ft rolls,20 ft rolls etc. plenty of colors too.

    ok, I got 2 12 ga automotive spools in my cart on amazon, now I need a switch that I can use in my safe. I want it to drill a hole on the inside of the safe door jam and when I open the safe it lights up. any links to one of those?

    Ya, or a magnetic one. Just need it to allow power when the door is open and off when the door is closed

    I think speaker wire would be fine personally.. theres 2 types of speaker wire CCA (Copper Covered Aluminum) And OFC (Oxygen Free Copper)

    I would just get some OFC speaker wire if your worried about it (I think CCA would work too though)

    Think about it speaker wire is the same as power wire or ground wire used to power an amp just in a smaller gauge..
