the difference between the 2 that I have seen is as follows:

    the lenses are different

    500FF (which means free form)

    500

then since your truck is a dark color the dark look might look cool. this is the Hella Black Magic, still just as bright as the regular 500

I dont think theres a big difference in beam pattern between all of these

that's what i was looking for, about the beam pattern. thanks. black magics cost more though and if i got those, my grill lights would look out of place imo because they are the normal hellas.

touche. I was thinkin about the black magics.....until i saw the price. F that.

IMO between my FFs and my buddies regular 500 the FFs seem to be a little bit clearer and i would say theyre more of a pencil beam...but its not by a big difference. since you will have HIDs in heads and fogs you wont need any more light up close, what you will need is long distance. i texted you this but what you can do is point them in different directions so you can get your upclose or far out, or do 2 middle ones pointed straight and up and the outter 2 pointed out a little bit so you can see around corners or when your driving down a dark road at night you can see animals on the side of the road.

yea, that's why the outer 2 are placed on the curve of the bar so they point outwards slightly
