 my friends step dad could easily fix that. its just those shops are too lazy to spend the amount of time popping it out

no he does his with specially designed tools, its just basically a long metal rod with different angles and a forged tip so it's strong enough to pop it out. he works at a mercedez body shop so they do it right instead of slapping a pound of bondo on :jester:

Well in that case, heck yeah. Problem is, most body shops are all about time. They're looking at getting the car out as quick as possible. That and there's a ton of people doing bodywork that ONLY know how to replace panels rather then message a dent back out.

i think in this shops case they try to keep it as long as possible so the person has to pay by the hour lol

I was thinking bout trying to get it out my self it the insurance won't do anything. I worked at a body shop for a while and got a little knowledge bout how to get it out. And I got to thinking does anybody know it I can replace the sides with stepsides or do I have to replace the whole bed?

I'm sure Ford sells the bedside for the stepsides too.
