Get long tubes instead of shorties if possible...I've heard guys say shorties don't do a lot

Long tubes, run high flows so you shouldnt throw any codes. And true duals setup would be the best idea.

Your in my area now. What year? What motor? 5.4 3v go with long tube, high flow cats, 3" Y pipe, 3" piping to a single in or single in dual out. Preferably magna flow, borla, corsa, or dynomax bullets. Stay away from crapmasters.

4.6 2v, 3v they only make shorty headers for the 04-10which on my 04 I went with jba shorties, high flow cats from magna flow, tru-x pipe from magna flow, duel in duel out magna flow. 2.5 piping. Now since your going with a y pipe. Run 2.5 piping. Mandrel bent for smother flow. Same goes for the 5.4. This will increase your low end torque. True duels will boost your top end. Hope this helps. Got any more questions ask

I spent around 1,500 for my old exhaust set up. I'm looking at 2000 for this new one.

If you have 04-08 5.4 3v they run lean from factory. So when you install that cai, you need custom tunes. Gryphon or sct. If you run it with no custom tunes. Your going to have engine detonation. Which is going to cause problems. Throttle body spacer, send that crap back our engines are fuel injected not carbureted. It won't do anything but be an expensive paper weight. Believe me I was in your position at one time.
