Me and the gf got a Onkyo HT-S5400 7.1-Channel Home Theater System this week from H H Greg on sale for $399. It has 4+ star reviews, is over 1000 watts and comes with 7 speakers and a 10" sub.

Gonna sound great man. We got one in the living room with Onkyo components and such (each piece probably cost what yours did all together). You'll love it.

Well I have part of it set up, couldnt get the back surround speakers set up because my room is too bug for the wiring that came with it. I have all but 2 wired.

The system is easy to set up, 4 HDMI in, 1 out. I am having a hard time programming the surround remote to controle the bluray, tv and direct tv. I am working on that, may end up with a universal remote.

In my own imaginary world, where. Respect for wome
thats a pretty good Onkyo for the price. I've got a TX-SR 608 w/ the 7.2 output. and I'll show you the universal remote you need to go w/ when I get home. its pimp like a cane!

Hope you don't have any trouble with it because Onkyo customer service sucks.

I've got a buddy that issues with his system and wound up just buying a whole new unit (of a different brand) because of it.
