Just rolled the odometer to 93K in the Ranger and 143K on the F250 and I've used nothing but Sam Walton-Mart supertech Mercon Dexron III, then 82K on the Mazda using the supertech Mercon Dexron V (5).
I always drain it, drop the pan, clean the magnet, wipe it out and spray clean with brake cleaner, let dry and replace the filter with a new one at a trans fluid change.
The quart or so of fluid, what's left in the cooler and lines, is still clean from my last trans fluid service.
Heard they deleted the torque converter drain plug in 00-01, the PSD still has it.
