I used the Duplicolor PTM rattle can on my grille surround and Automotive Touchup's PTM rattle can on my bumper pad and valence and Automotive Touchup is a better paint. goes on amazing and is all around a higher quality paint. Just my .02.
sure let me go buy a $5 can of spray paint and spend $50 shipping it to the upper north artic, hmmmmm probably not, but good luck with that.
It's actually $20 for a 12oz can and $12.66 for shipping 4-6 weeks for delivery though... so it'll be awhile before I post up pics. Has anyone here ptm their door handles also?
I've done my door handles and tailgate handles with the Duplicolor. Looks decent but i dont have power locks so i have to unlock my door with the key so the paint is chipping in the key hole on the bottom. I dunno if you'd have that problem.
My tailgate handle, rear bumper pads, hitch pad on the rear bumper has all been sprayed with Dupli-Color and none of it's chipped. Been painted for several years now. If you prep the area and use adhesion promoter it's harder to chip. You'll be surprised at how well adhesion promoter works on plastic and chrome, etc. Sent from my iPhone4 using Tapatalk
It probably won't happen till March when I have a shop and can park the truck for a couple days. Planning on doing the mirrors, door handles, and tailgate handle. What's the best way to smooth them out? Adhesion primer and sanding, or bondo and sanding?
