I have 4 6" 55W lights mounted on my roof bar at the moment. I would like to swap them out for 4 8" 130W lights. My question is could I use the existing harness and just connect the new lights to the old harness? The existing harness has a relay and a fuse per set of 2 lights.
I'm far from an expert on wiring, I actually hate it, so I was wondering if anybody could give me some insight.

    Thanks in advance,
    Josh

How would I check how much voltage it holds? The harnesses came with the 55W lights.

it will only hold as much as the fuse allows it to....if you get a bigger fuse than the wire can handle it would cuase a burn issue...what you need to do is see what guage your wire is and how big the fuse is....then see what the manufacturer reccomends for the set up and see where yours stands fromt there....

Okay the fuse is blue and has "15" on the top. The wire I'm guessing is maybe 14 gauge... not exact on that one

You need to upgrade the wiring harness. 12 gauge wiring would be needed to handle those lights without an issue

Yeah I was just thinking, it probably wouldn't be too much of a pain to just go ahead and swap the harnesses, I would just be moving the roof lights to my new front bumper replacement, so I would really just need to shorten up the ones I have and then run the new ones to the roof. Thanks for the help guys.

Yeah, get at least 12ga wire and you'll probably want around a 25 amp fuse. Look at how many amps the total lights will take (ex: 4*5amp=20amp) and round up. 25amp fuse
