Looks good, reminds me of the '88 Chrysler fifth avenue I had in high school. I called it "the boat." It was that periwinkle/light blue type color too. I didn't appreciate it at the time but I actually miss it now. It was a great car.

Nice Town Car! I was always a fan of the Continentals. The Continental Mark VIII is still a sharp ass car in my opinion and a damn fine automobile.

    Of a Truth:

Yes, I liked the MK8 from day one....the MK7 was nicely styled as well. The first tests of the Mk8 described the car as "very smooth and very powerful", quite accurate I would say.
I don't think the front-wheel-drive models do the Continentals' reputations a great deal of good. I was entertaining getting one, but opted for the LTC instead...really glad that I did.

A good friend of mine was the interior desiginer for the Town Car from the beginning till about 10 yrs ago....My F-n-L has a nice 98 right now. Rides better than anything out there imo.

    A Note of Interest....I Think:

:hmm: The Mk7 in 84,85 had a diesel option: The engine was the BMW 2.4L inline 6 OHC turbodiesel.
That was a sweet-running car with a surprising turn of performance for only 110hp.
Back in 1995 I almost bought one for my daughter who needed a good economical car immediately, but the offering I had was leaking fuel and I had no time to make a fix.
....coulda had the car with less than 100K on it for 1000 bucks. Oh well.... woulda, coulda, shoulda.:birgits_tiredcoffee

My mother-in-law had a 1994 Town Car, Deep Jewel Green, code M6414.
My wife accidentally put her 1993 Ford Escort key into the ignition one day, found the keys were cut the same and it started the Town car.
