This isnt good...

    haha neither did i till i saw my moms black paint coming off!!! wasnt pretty... good thing shes got a 2011 now... i over did my tail lights b4 just used regular brake parts cleaner on a rag.

    lacquer thinner. if you dont clean the acetone off completely the paint will crack as it cures.

    I've used lacquer thinner too, just gotta be careful cause it can melt the plastic

    yep, any solvent will melt plastic. Pick your poison man! ha ha, I usually use lacquer thinner because once it evaporates its good to paint.

    The first time I tinted my tails I got them too dark. I stripped them by using acetone. Get a good rag, soak it and get to rubbing. If you don't plan on re-spraying them the you'll need to polish the plastic back out to a nice bright shine. If not, then be sure they're clean of the acetone and re-spray.

    And for the record, nail polish remover cost more then a small can of acetone. You'll burn through a bottle of nail polish remover before you clean the first taillight.

    Lowe's, Home Depot and Wal-Mart all sell acetone.

    It could have gotten inside the light itself. See that before and that would cause it to look that way
